Tropical Storm Isaias formed in the southwestern Gulf on Wednesday morning and is primed to “rapidly strengthen” into a dangerous hurricane en route to landfall on the northern Gulf Coast.

Heavy rain and strong winds batter parts of Florida as Category 3 Hurricane Isaias approaches the continental United States.

Isaias was a major Category 3 hurricane Friday morning, with 120 mph winds and even higher gusts.
