Hurricane Isaias has already been battering the western Florida Panhandle and Southeastern Alabama with fierce winds and rapidly rising water levels.
An increasing fight with shredding wind shear was expected to knock wind speeds down but forecasts now point to a major hurricane at landfall.
The National Hurricane Center projects that the storm will make landfall as a major hurricane along the Florida's Gulf Coast on Thursday.
