Hurricane Isaias continues to strengthen as it approaches the Gulf Coast, with landfall expected tonight into early Saturday along the Alabama or Florida Panhandle coastline.
Tropical Storm Isaias has formed over the warm gulf water south of Texas. This storm is forecast to strengthen into a hurricane later today and tonight and approach Cat 2-3 intensity later in the week as is approaches Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.
The latest forecast calls for Isaias to move inland across Alabama on Saturday, meaning periods of heavy rain, gusty winds and potentially some thunderstorms could affect Tuscaloosa around the time of the game. The exact severity will depend on the storm's eventual track and how quickly it weakens after landfall.
