When the 2025 MLB All-Star teams were announced, baseball fans noticed one major name was missing. That would be New York Mets outfielder Juan Soto, who overcame a slow start to put up his normal, excellent numbers.

Perhaps it was because reporters entered the locker room as the embargo was being lifted on which players had made the All-Star team. Mets first baseman Pete Alonso and closer Edwin Díaz were announced, alongside shortstop Francisco Lindor, who will make his first start in the Midsummer Classic next week.
