Florida’s First District Court of Appeal has invalidated Florida’s Open Carry Ban (Florida Statute 790.053), holding in McDaniels v. State that the Second Amendment protects the right of law-abiding citizens to openly carry firearms in public. Sheriff Judd explains what this means for our citizens. This court ruling does not affect prohibitions of carrying in government buildings such as courthouses, schools, polling places, and other government facilities, where both open carry and concealed ca
