A Thornton, Colorado cow sanctuary is struggling after thieves stole more than $20,000 worth of equipment, including nearly all farm tools and an ATV. The break-in happened at Pay & Friends Inc., a nonprofit that rescues cows from slaughter. The loss has made caring for the seven rescued cows much harder, especially during winter feeding season, which costs up to $1,800 a month.
