Dollar cost averaging (DCA) and "buying the dip" may seem like relatives in the same family, but upon closer inspection we'll find that they're not related whatsoever. "Buying the dip", while it may appear as such, isn't a form of value investing, and makes a handful of false assumptions. DCA assumes no special insight into a particular market price and actually looks to get a better price from eliminating assumptions (and market timing) altogether. | Nicholas Crown
