Unfortunately, as dogs get older they experience many similar health conditions like us humans, including "dog dementia". It is not the same as human dementia, but the symptoms are in many ways similar, including disorientation and decreased social interaction. Cognitive dysfunction syndrome (CDS) in dogs is unfortunately incurable but with early intervention and the right management, it is possible to improve the quality of life for dogs with CDS.
