I found a Two Toed Amphiuma! Our very own Floridians “axolotl”! Unlike axolotl 2 toes amphiumas have only one pair of limbs & lack those feathery gills axolotls have. They are also very “eel-like” & is often confused as one. Their diet however can be very similar being mostly small invertebrates. Now there is one more fun fact… There is a more “axolotl” like creature native to Florida that isn’t an amphiuma. Go on the explore page & look up “Florida Greater Siren”. You are welcome! #anphiuma #tw

#TREEFROG ૮(ˊ ᵔ ˋ)ა Tree frogs have specialized toe pads that help them cling to surfaces, allowing them to climb and stick to various objects such as leaves and branches. These toe pads are covered in tiny, soft, and sticky structures called toe discs or adhesive pads. These pads enable tree frogs to effortlessly grip onto surfaces, even in wet or slippery environments. It's quite charming to watch these little frogs navigate their way through the treetops with their amazing climbing abilities!

This behavior is called “toe luring”. Some toads wiggle their toes when they see food, the resulting vibrations agitates insects, setting them scuttling in a flurry of activity that triggers a toad’s known tendency to strike at moving prey. Toads only eat living, moving bugs. The movement of their cute little toes might attract insects to them so they can be lazy. #fyp #frog #frogs #herpetology #phrog #exoticpets #frogtok🐸 #frogtok #frogsoftiktok #frogtiktok #froggy #cutefrog #toadtok #toadsoft
