The traditional BMI cut off of 30 was used while also adding in having 2 other anthropometric markers either waist circumference (102 cm for males, 80 cm for females), waist-to-height ratio (equal to or above 0.5), or waist-to-hip ratio (equal or above 0.9 for men or 0.85 for women).
